The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution phases of various company projects. The role involves liaising with various internal departments, customers, and suppliers to ensure compliance with costs, deadlines, and agreed quality standards, with a focus on achieving maximum customer satisfaction. The position reports to the Program Management Manager of Poltrona Frau In Motion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the APQP team, comprising representatives from various company functions, acting as the Project Lead
  • Plan all product development activities and monitor project progress via APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) procedures
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Customer regarding the assigned project through to a suitable period following the production launch
  • Perform definitive technical and production feasibility analyses for new products
  • Identify potential new material suppliers in collaboration with the Purchasing and SQE (Supplier Quality Engineering) departments
  • Initiate and manage pilot orders for materials until product/supplier qualification is finalized
  • Manage technical project modifications agreed upon with the customer and coordinate all related activities
  • Assist Process Quality in managing customer complaints and reports following the start of production
  • Plan activities related to production site transfers and monitor their progress
  • Oversee prototype construction within the Prototyping Department (Modelleria)
  • Plan, request, and monitor results for all required laboratory tests on new products (Technical Approval and Self-Qualification)
  • Coordinate the preparation of cost estimates for new products to support the formulation of commercial offers

Education and Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within structured, international companies
  • Fluent in English
  • Proven experience in the automotive sector (OEM/Tier 1)
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics F&O is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding processes
  • Knowledge of thermoforming/thermocompression processes (Natural Fiber or similar)
  • Knowledge of RIM (Reactive Injection Molding) process
  • Knowledge of carbon fiber component manufacturing (autoclave, RTM, or other lamination technologies)
  • Expertise in automotive interior production processes: cutting, sewing, trimming/upholstery, assembly, and accessory bonding
